Player Safety Rules
* A player who appears concussed will be removed by the referee and may not return until approval from his/her parent.
* Slide tackles are permitted in soccer; however, reckless slide tackles will be taken seriously by the league and the officials.
* (U12 down) If a referee determines that a ball was intentionally headed play is stopped and the opposing team is rewarded an indirect free kick.
Sportsmanship Rules
* In all ages, each player must start and coaches must strive to provide equal playing time.
* Players are expected to attend practice out of respect to their team and in relation to the equal playing time rule.
* Parents are expected to contact the coach if their child is unable to attend practice.
* If a parent contacts the coach this will be considered an excused absence that does not hinder the equal playing time rule.
* There is no minimum number of players required to start a game.
* In all ages if a team is short 1 player the opposing team will play short 1 player.
* U5-U7 Rec teams may not have a designated GK during the run of play.
* U5-U7 Rec teams may only have players defend their own goal when the opponent has a dangerous chance of scoring.
* Goal-Kicks for All Teams U10 and younger: Attacking players must drop back to midfield until the ball has been kicked back in play.
* GK's may punt the ball at U10 and below; however, punts (including drop kicks) that land beyond midfield in the air result in an indirect free kick.
* Teams and coaches must shake hands at the end of the game in a manner that supports good sportsmanship.
Other Rules
* Pre Game warm up minutes are suggested times; referees may alter the times as necessary.
* In age divisions that do not allow penalty kicks, an indirect kick is substituted.
